Jews Riot in Hebron
January 16, 2006 |
What a sad day when we become the thing we despise most. I’ve been away for a few days so I didn’t see this develop, but it sickens me. Whatever part of me feels somewhat amused seeing Israelis giving something of what they’ve gotten over the years, is completely disgusted by the pictures of Jewish boys wearing masks like the murdering terrorists who are our enemies. When the only thing that distinguishes our fight from their fight is what color mask you are wearing, we have truly lost. Where are their parents? Where are their rebbes and teachers? Are we so much like our cousins that we would attack our own policemen? What is happening to our world? Our people? What have we become?
I pray that this is an isolated spectacle and not the beginning of the end.

You forgot the most important question: Where is the governement? Why does the “jewish” state give Jws such bad lives? Why does the “jewish state” force Jewish kids to act like this?
Dovid,
I accept that the government should be held accountable to some degree for the situation in Hevron, but I do not at all accept the premise that “the ‘jewish state’ force[s] Jewish kids to act like this”. The same argument has been used by our enemies to justify their violence against us. Nobody forces anyone to act like anything. Each of us bears responsibility for his actions. There is often a sound logical and moral reason to use force to obtain an objective, however in this case, I do not see that what these people are doing is even in their own best interest, let alone in the best interest of the State or the Jewish people.
