The talmud says that every person should view themselves as if the world was created on their behalf and that each person should take care with his actions because the world can turn on the whims of each individual. If that truly is the case, then the Jewish people are doomed. Our own most visible and seemingly powerful Jews are perpetuating the anti-semitic rhetoric that is rapidly filling the world and those who used to be seemingly rational intelligent public figures are now siding with the causes of those whose actions would destroy us. George Soros, Abraham Foxman, Shimon Peres, Yosef Lapid, Yossi Beilin… the list goes on and on. Every day, the enemies of Israel are supported by the very people whose lives depend on the defeat of those enemies. I am sick. I am bewildered. I feel as if I am standing on the deck of the Titanic screaming at the captain, “LOOK!!! There is an iceberg right in front of us!”. Our captains are steering us directly into catastrophe. Only the One Captain can “turn our ship around” and He appears content to watch us founder among the wreckage of our own self-destruction. “Please, our Lord, redeem us, please. Please, our Lord, save us, please!”
